Maestro Dimitar Kosev was honored with the Stefan Linev Award for a Successful Young Bulgarian Conductor. The distinction is presented by Sofia Music Weeks International Festival and the EuroAtlantic Art Foundation, as a recognition of his outstanding talent, professionalism, and contribution to the development of Bulgarian musical culture.
The award is named after the great Bulgarian conductor Stefan Linev – a prominent figure in the musical life both in Bulgaria and abroad, who left a lasting legacy through his exceptional professionalism and inspiring work with generations of musicians.
The award ceremony took place during a festive concert within the program of the Sofia Music Weeks Festival in Sofia, in the presence of distinguished representatives of the Bulgarian and international music community.
Dimitar Kosev is an exceptionally talented conductor and a distinguished representative of contemporary musical art, who has chosen to develop his professional career in Bulgaria. Despite the challenges faced by the State Opera Ruse in recent years, Maestro Kosev has remained consistently dedicated to the institution. As part of its leadership, he demonstrates loyalty and commitment to the audience, always striving to offer them a profound artistic experience.
