Rodrigo Trosino is a tenor of Italian-Mexican descent. He made his professional debut in Italy, Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Bulgaria in the central tenor roles of the operas "The Barber of Seville", "Cinderella", "The Strange Misunderstanding", "The Italian Girl in Algiers" by J. S. Trotsky. Rossini; Rigoletto and La Traviata by G. Verdi; "Love Elixir", "Lucia di Lammermoor" and "Don Pasquale" by G. Verdi. Donizetti, "Bohemian", "The Swallow", "Gianni Schicchi" by G. Puccini; "Don Giovanni", "So Do They All", "The Magic Flute", "Abduction from the Barn" by W. A. Mozart; "Pagliacci" by R. Leoncavallo; "Carmen" by J. Bizet as Remendado ( at the Tonhalle Zurich, Switzerland), in "The Rose Cavalier" by R. Strauss in the roles of Tenor and Wirth; in The Flying Dutchman and Forbidden to Love by R. Wagner as the helmsman of Daland and Claudio.

Rodrigo was a soloist of the Rousse Opera Theatre from 2015 to 2018 as part of the permanent company of the soloist ensemble.

The bel canto technique he is learning is thanks to exceptional vocal teachers who are giving impetus to his artistic and professional growth. Among them are Adriana Diaz de Leon (Mexico), Alessandra Althoff Pugliese (Venice, Italy), Gianfranco Cecchale (Castelfranco, Italy) Alessandro Svab (Trieste, Italy), Mario Diaz Varas (Salzburg, Austria), Carlo Colombara (Sofia, Bulgaria), Darina Takova (Sofia, Bulgaria), Marzio Jossi (Bologna, Italy).

Winner of First Prize in 2021 at the Mario Lanza Legend International Opera Competition in Parma, Italy and also winner of First Prize in 2017 at the Mario Lanza International Opera Competition in Filignano, Italy. Winner of the F.O.N.C.A scholarship from the Mexican government for artists abroad for artistic development and German language study. Winner of the 2016 IBLA Competition in Ragusa (Italy) as winner of the Audience Award and the Musical Ovation Award. He was also the winner of the Mozart Prize in 2015 at the Oper im Berg Festival in Salzburg (Austria) and the Song Prize at the Marie Kraja Competition in Tirana (Albania) in 2014.

Nominated in 2014 at the Teatro Sociale di Cittadella (Italy) by the Rotary Club as part of the New Talent group, nominated by tenor Gianfranco Cecchale, he received the same nomination for the Mario del Monaco Association in Modena (Italy) in 2016.

He has received other accolades and has been a finalist in several international opera competitions.

Rodrigo Trosino studied acting in Mexico City at the CEA Center for Arts Education as a dramatic actor from 1999 to 2008, alongside his music and singing studies at the Escuela Nacional de Musica Ciudad de Mexico. He debuted as an opera singer at the Vizcainas Theater in Mexico City in 2002 in the role of Captain Alberto in Pablo Luna's operetta "Molinos de Viento". In 2010, the young operetta artist came to Europe, to Venice (Italy) to perfect his technique of opera singing and made his debut at Teatro Goldoni in Livorno (Italy) in the role of Fatty in "The Rise and Fall of the City of Mahagonny" by Kurt Weill as part of Laboratorio Lirico per la Toscana in 2010.

Rodrigo is currently studying a three-year course in opera singing at the Conservatory of Evaristo Felice Dal'Abaco in Verona and is part of the Arena di Verona Opera Festival.
