State Opera Ruse Proudly Pays Tribute to Its Distinguished Soloist Stoyan Stoyandjov
One of the most distinguished soloists of State Opera Ruse, Stoyan Stoyandzhovcelebrates 40 years of artistic activity on our stage. Four decades filled with over 120 roles in opera, operetta, and musical repertoire, guest performances in nearly all European countries, and participation in prestigious international festivals. An artist whose talent, charisma, and dedication have made him a prominent face of both the Ruse Opera and Bulgarian culture.
The anniversary was celebrated with a festive concert at the Philharmonic Hall, conducted by Maestro Dimitar Kosev, featuring the soloists and orchestra of State Opera Ruse, together with the theatre’s director Plamen Beykov.
In recognition of Stoyan Stoyandzhov’s contribution to Bulgarian art and culture:

The Union of Bulgarian Musicians and Dancers awarded the artist its highest honor – the "Crystal Necklace", presented by the Vece Chairman of the Union of Bulgarian Musicians and Dancers (UBMD), responsible for “Musical and Stage Arts,” Momchil Milanov.
- The Mayor of Ruse Municipality, Pencho Milkov presented Stoyan Stoyandzhov with the Golden Badge of Ruse Municipality. ‘Stoyan Stoyandzhov is not just a great artist – he is the face of Ruse and of Bulgarian culture. For four decades, he has inspired generations of audiences with his talent, dignity, and dedication. I thank him for dedicating his life to music and to our city,’ emphasized Mr. Milkov.

Ruse University “Angel Kanchev”, represented by Prof. Dr. Gencho Popov, honored Stoyan Stoyandzhov with an honorary plaque on behalf of the academic leadership.
Among the official guests at the concert were Deputy Mayor Encho Enchev and the Rector of Ruse University, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Desislava Atanasova, who also congratulated Stoyan Stoyandzhov.
Among the many congratulatory messages was also a greeting from the Honorary Rector of Ruse University and Chairman of the Ruse Municipal Council, Academician Hristo Beloev.
Throughout his long and distinguished artistic career, Stoyandzhov has also been the recipient of the collective award “Crystal Lyre”., and in Ruse he is not only a beloved soloist but also an active participant in the opera’s educational initiatives.
“Ruse is my creative home. This is where my professional career began, where the audience, my colleagues, and the stage - to whom I owe so much - are. This gold badge is for me not just an award, but a symbol of love and trust,” shared Stoyan Stoyandzhov with his devoted audience.
State Opera Ruse believes that in times of challenges and difficulties, it is precisely the artists devoted to their work who are the true force keeping the spirit alive. It is our duty not to forget those who dedicate their lives to the stage, for their hard work and inspiration create a cultural legacy that connects generations, leaves a lasting mark in the memory of present and future artists, and sustains hope for a more dignified reality.
