Starry nights under the summer sky of RUSE!
The annual festival "STAGE UNDER THE STARS" will again this year turn into a spectacular show in the heart of Ruse.
The programme of the State Opera-Ruse within this year's edition is more than exciting and promises thrilling moments.
July evenings will be more glamorous than a diamond necklace too!
We start with Verdi and "Rigoletto.". On 12 July, in the square in front of the Opera House, Gilda will once again be enchanted by the charming Duke of Mantua, and the jester will be at the centre of a fateful and tragic tangle of events that the bravest would not have thought of and certainly would not have asked for! The conductor of the show is Maestro Vladimir Boshnakov and in the main roles you will see Alexander Krunev, Mikhail Mikhailov and Daniela Karaivanova! Tickets are on sale now!
The stars will shine brighter because on July 19, in the square in front of the Opera House, two young and daring conductors will create real magic in the night! "STAR HOUR" is an operatic gala concert-performance that will create unprecedented magic under the sky of Little Vienna on a July night. With their vocal and artistic merits, the soloists of the Rousse Opera truly bring the level of opera theatre to the height and volume of the world's professional standards. This conviction has absolute validity, especially when the hit programmes of the gala concerts are complemented by the unique first-class sound of the chorus and orchestra. And so, in a similar way, the globally commensurate star presence can be traced back to the past. The voices of the Ruthenian opera singers most resemble the legendary international names who linked their careers with titles from the Romantic era.
Beautiful, tender and irresistible will be the artists from the ballet troupe of the State Opera - Ruse on July 23rd at 20:30h on the square in front of the Opera. The artistic director of the Ballet of the State Opera-Ruse presents a lavish and diverse ballet parade of the most spectacular ballet numbers from the productions of the Ballet of the Ruse Opera. The programme will also include ballet miniatures, which usually appear on stage as solo or ensemble ballets and are among the most frequently recognised and loved by the audience classical representatives of the comprehensive ballet art. They say ROCK IS DEAD? A collaboration with rock band KIKIMORA will rock both rock and opera fans on July 28 at 8:30 pm! Soloists, choir and orchestra of the State Opera-Ruse together with Nikolo Kotsev and his band "KIKIMORA" will blow the fans of rock music with the performance "They Say Rock Is Dead?"
Under the direction of the inimitable Maestro Dimitar Kosev, the rock band KIKIMORA, the opera soloists Daniela Karaivanova, Peter Kostov and Teodor Petkov, the Choir and Orchestra of the State Opera-Ruse will perform the immortal hits of Van Halen, Bon Jovi, AC-DC, Rainbow, Led Zeppelin, Queen, Guns'n Roses, Uriah Heep and others, as well as well-known favorite opera arias!
And let's end with a world classic, as is its right! The well-known images of Carmen and Torreador will come to life on stage! Opera "Carmen" by Georges Bizet will change into a dress woven from all the constellations on July 31 and quite deservedly!
The performance in the midst of the hot summer days on the open stage in front of the Opera House will mark the finale of the creative season 2023 - 2024. With the beauty of Georges Bizet's music, with the power of love it boldly paints, with the exoticism of the Spanish characters and in the rushing rhythm of their passions, our opera artists and musicians will issue their challenging invitation to their admirers to follow them on the curious musical paths to be walked together in the new season.
The sensual production will leave an unforgettable memory of the beautiful summer days and the exciting musical evenings spent together on the square in front of the Opera House.
