The State Opera – Ruse received exceptional recognition at this year’s edition of the awards presented by the Union of Bulgarian Musicians and Dancers “Crystal Lyre”.The Ruse Opera was honored with four awards, which stand as evidence of the high artistic level, inspiration, and dedication of its creative team.
Operetta and Musical Theatre
The award in this category was presented to the team of the State Opera Ruse for the impressive premiere of the musical "Zorro", presented on April 27, 2025, on the stage of the Dohodno Zdanie – Ruse.

Also honored with a “Crystal Lyre” was the production team of the State Opera Ruse for the premiere performance of the opera "La Traviata" by Giuseppe Verdi, staged to mark the 75th anniversary season of the Ruse State Opera. The premiere took place on November 27, 2024, on the stage of the Dohodno Zdanie – Ruse.

Tanya Ivanova (soprano) was awarded for her outstanding portrayal of the role of Cio-Cio-San in the opera’s premiere performance “Madama Butterfly” by Giacomo Puccini. The premiere took place on March 27, 2025, on the stage of the Dohodno Zdanie – Ruse, as part of the International Festival “March Music Days”.

Audience Award
The audience also showed their high appreciation by awarding the special prize to State Opera Ruse for the premiere of the musical "Zorro" with music by Gypsy Kings and John Cameron – a performance that impressed with its energy, passion, and dynamic stage vision.
The Ruse State Opera Celebrates 76 Years!
Following a series of accolades and successes, State Opera Ruse welcomes its 76th anniversary with new exciting encounters with its audience.
Soon, the Lady of the Camellias will come to life on stage once again – one of the most iconic productions of the season – "La Traviata" by Giuseppe Verdi at the Dohodno Zdanie on November 30 at 7:00 PM. The audience will have the opportunity to enjoy this moving performance, which has already won the acclaim of critics and the love of spectators.

The Ruse State Opera will once again delight the Sofia audience with another performance of the fiery musical "Zorro" – on December 8 at the National Palace of Culture (NDK). The performance is expected to bring to the stage in Sofia the same energy, magic, and passion that won the hearts of audiences in numerous other cities this year.
