January will be fabulous

January is going to be fabulous with a program you can't miss! After the holidays, we continue the 2024-2025 season with fabulous performances.

On January 9th Maestro Dimitar Kosev will lead the orchestra of the State Opera-Ruse in a New Year's concert. In the programme. Strauss, Fr. Lehar, Fr. von Suppe, E. F. F. Schalmer, F. Chopin, F. Schalmer. Participating soloists of the State Opera-Ruse Vladislava Garvalova, Gloria Pencheva, Teodora Chukurska, Ivan Penchev, Teodor Petkov. And again, after the huge interest and sold-out hall for both the premiere in December and the new date in January - "THE WOODCATCHER" - a ballet based on Ernst Theodor Amadeus Hoffmann's fairy tale "The Nutcracker and the King of Mice", with choreographer - Natalia Osipova, conductor - Dimitar Kossev, children from Ruse dance schools: FREEDOM Dance Studio, children from the classical dance specialty at the National School of Dance "Prof. В. Stoyanov", children from ballet school "INFANTI" at the National School "Zahari Stoyanov - 1937" and of course - soloists from the Ballet of the State Opera-Ruse.

On January 17th at the Opera-Foyer Hall we will present Donizetti's chamber opera THE TELEPHONE directed by Adelaide Yakimova-Furnadjieva. The main roles are played by the soloists of the State Opera-Ruse, Nelly Petkova and Teodor Petkov. Tickets at the Opera box office and HERE.

"The Queen of Chardasha" will once again captivate with its charm on January 19 at 7:00 pm at the Palace. The conductor is Dimitar Kossev, under whose baton the orchestra of the State Opera-Ruse will turn Imre Kalman's operetta into a fairy-tale experience for all citizens and guests of Ruse. After a completely sold-out house at the premiere performance in November of last year, the most special opera for the State Opera-Ruse, with which we celebrated 75 years of the opera house, comes again in all its lavish splendour. More fabulous and more exciting than ever! Fascinating and uncompromising! The magnificence of costumes and sets, combined with the mastery of our opera, choral and ballet artists, will turn the evening into a true celebration! Under the direction of Nina Naydenova and under the baton of Vladimir Boshnakov on January 26, La Traviata will show us what true unconditional love is capable of! In the main roles we will see the magnificent Daniela Karaivanova and Rodrigo Trosino (guest). Soloists, choir, ballet and orchestra of the State Opera-Ruse will also take part. On the 28th of January we continue the fabulous! The Ruse Children's Opera revisits one of its favourite repertoire titles. "Annie in the Kingdom of Flowers" is the first Bulgarian musical for which a libretto and music have been specially written for a complete performance just for child performers. The libretto of "Annie in the kingdom of flowers" was written by the famous Ruse actor and poet Ilia Devedjiev. He composed the beautiful poetic text inspired by the short story "The Kingdom of Flowers" by the Belgian poet Maurice Karem. Tickets at the Opera box office and HERE.

Winter music evenings.
