State Opera Ruse and the rock band "Kikimora".

Ruse is renowned not only for its outstanding classical musicians, but also for its strong traditions and refined taste in what has now become the classic rock repertoire.
The artistic collaboration between the famous rock band Kikimora and the State Opera Ruse has a long-standing history. It began in 2016 with the Bulgarian premiere of the rock opera Nostradamus, performed by a joint ensemble of soloists, choir, and orchestra. The opera was composed by violinist, guitarist, singer, and composer Nikolo Kotzev – the frontman of Kikimora.
For the past three creative seasons, the Ruse Opera has traditionally closed its summer program in early August with joint concerts, continuing the shared journey between the band and the opera company.
As a natural extension of this long-standing friendship, this year the State Opera Ruse and Kikimora are planning a series of four concerts under the title "One Night at the Opera".
The first event of this extraordinary series – combining musical classics with timeless rock – will take place on June 4 on the stage of the Summer Theatre in Varna. This grand event will also open the concert season of this prestigious Bulgarian open-air venue. The tour continues with a traditional concert in Ruse, part of the Stage Under the Stars summer festival, on August 4, followed by two back-to-back concerts – on September 23 at the new concert hall in Targovishte, and on September 24 on the stage of the Summer Theatre in Gorna Oryahovitsa.
"One Night at the Opera" begins with a powerful emotional surge – the famous opening movement O, Fortuna from Carl Orff’s oratorio Carmina Burana. What follows is a thrilling classical-rock cocktail of operatic arias and ensembles from Don Giovanni, Rigoletto, La Traviata, Carmen, Turandot, and Nostradamus, infused with hits from the repertoires of Kikimora, Deep Purple, Rainbow, and Queen.
In "One Night at the Opera", soloists from the State Opera Ruse and the vocalists of "Kikimora" perform side by side, accompanied by the Choir and Orchestra of State Opera Ruse.
