"The Starry Moment of Little Stefcho is an attractive ballet performance for children up to 10 years old. The story presents the amazing encounter of the little boy Stefcho with the wonderful world of animals. The narrative is based on the popular work "Carnival of the Animals" by the French composer Camille Saint-Saëns (1835-1921). The Ballet of the Rousse Opera is drawn into the inventive directions of the fantasies and imagination of the choreographer and director of this colourful show, Yordan Krastev.
In this original performance the ballet dancer, director and teacher Yordan Krastev offers the youngest audience his unconventional and contemporary interpretation of Carnival of the Animals by Camille Saint-Saëns. The performance "The Starry Moment of Little Stefcho or Carnival of the Animals", created at the beginning of 2014 especially for the Ballet of the Ruse Opera, has been repeatedly performed with great success in front of children's audiences all over Bulgaria for three creative seasons.
The artistic director of the State Opera Ballet Vesela Vassileva, later accepted the creative challenge to personally restore and revive for a new stage life the children's ballet performance "The Starry Moment of Little Stefcho or Carnival of the Animals", thus delighting the youngest ballet audience and attracting their attention to the beauty of ballet art.
