“Music and Light” is a festive concert program dedicated to the Unification Day – September 6.
On the day of one of the most worthy events in the recent history of Bulgaria – the accession of the artificially created state of Eastern Rumelia to the Principality of Bulgaria, the State Opera Ruse turns the gaze of the Bulgarians, of its audience, to the Bulgarian history and the sublimity of the Bulgarian creative spirit.
The program contains fragments of symphonic and operatic works by the Bulgarian composers Pancho Vladigerov, Marin Goleminov, Parashkev Hadzhiev, Theodosii Spassov. The virtuoso kaval performer shares the exciting performances on the solemn stage with the soloists of the Rousse Opera Tsvetelina Vasileva, Alexander Krunev, Dobromir Momekov and Momchil Milanov. The original selection of the festive program, in which the choir and orchestra of the Ruse Opera shine, was made by conductor Vladimir Boshnakov. The celebration of the Bulgarian speech and Bulgarian music also shines with the lights in the colors of Bulgarian nature, which in a fabulous light show illuminate the majestic body of the Belogradchik Rocks. White - like the snowdrifts of the Rila and Pirin mountain peaks; green - like the depths of the Stara Planina forests; red - like the bloody Danube sunsets; blue - like the unattainable Rhodope skies and the endless Black Sea horizon; yellow - like the unending golden fields of Dobrudzha before the harvest...
"Music and Light" is a journey of the Bulgarian spirit through time.
