Cinderella Ballet

CINDERELLA

Ballet de Sergei Prokofiev

One of the most delicate and beloved fairy tales comes to life on stage through the music of Sergei Prokofiev – the ballet Cinderella. Created by Nikolai Volkov on the basis of Charles Perrault’s classic story, it symbolizes the triumph of kindness over envy and cruelty. Since its world premiere at the Bolshoi Theatre in 1945, Cinderella has remained one of the most frequently performed ballets on the world’s great stages. In Bulgaria, it was first staged in Ruse in 1967, with choreography by Margarita Arnaudova and conductor Alexander Vladigerov.
