Mezzo-soprano

Andreana Nikolova is one of the prominent soloists in the troupe of the State Opera Ruse.

Her repertoire is extremely rich and stylistically manifold, which is justified by the various artistic pursuits of the singer. It features the central mezzo-soprano roles of Eboli ("Don Carlos"), Amneris ("Aida"), Azucena ("The Troubadour"), Fenena ("Nabucco"), Maddalena ("Rigoletto"), Carmen, Romeo ("Capulets and Montagues"). ") by Bellini, Jocasta ("Oedipus Rex" by Stravinsky), Herodias ("Salome" by R. Strauss), Delilah ("Samson and Delilah" by Saint-Saëns), and many others. Andreana Nikolova has won awards from several national competitions - "Gena Dimitrova" - First prize, "Svetoslav Obretenov" - Second prize, "Parashkev Hadzhiev" - First prize, as well as from the international competitions "Paldin" (Plovdiv) - First prize, "Ferruccio Tagliavini" (Austria) - First Prize and Critics' Prize, "Iris Adami Corradetti" (Italy) - Third Prize, "Boris Hristov" - Third Prize, Audience Award, Sofia Opera Award. Andreana Nikolova specialized in the Cultural Institute "Boris Hristov" in Rome under the authoritative vocal pedagogue Mirela Parutto. She participated in the master classes of the world-famous opera singers Gena Dimitrova, Anna Tomova-Sintova, Ileana Kotrubas, Bernd Weikl, and Stefka Evstatieva. He is a scholarship recipient of the Austrian Music Theater Foundation. Andreana Nikolova is highly valued as a cantata-oratorio singer. Her repertoire includes Requiems by Mozart and Verdi, Love Magic (De Faia), Beethoven's Missa Solemnis, Stabat Mater by Pergolesi, Rossini, and Dvořák, and her chamber song repertoire is enriched with Greek song cycles, Mahler song cycles, and many other songs by European composers. Andreana Nikolova is a participant in the premiere recording of Requiem by Emil Tabakov with the Symphony Orchestra and Mixed Choir of the BNR (Bulgarian National Radio) conducted by the composer. She recorded the opera "Aleko" by Rachmaninov for the Naxos record company, she has many recordings for the fund of the Bulgarian National Radio. Andreana Nikolova is a teacher of classical singing at the National School of Arts "Prof. Veselin Stoyanov" in Ruse.

Andreana Nikolova has won prizes in a number of national competitions - "Gena Dimitrova" - First Prize, "Svetoslav Obretenov" - Second Prize, "Parashkev Hadzhiev" - First Prize, as well as in the international competitions "Puldin" (Plovdiv) - First Prize, "Ferruccio Tagliavini" (Austria) - First Prize and Critics' Award, "Iris Adami Coradeti" (Italy) - Third Prize, "Boris Hristov" - Third Prize, Audience Award, Sofia Opera Award.

Andreana Nikolova specialised at the Boris Hristov Cultural Institute in Rome under the prestigious vocal pedagogue Mirela Parutto. She has participated in the master classes of world-famous opera singers Gena Dimitrova, Anna Tomova-Sintova, Ileana Kotrubas, Bernd Weikl and Stefka Evstatieva. She is a scholarship holder of the Austrian Musiktheater Foundation.

Andreana Nikolova is also in demand and highly regarded as a cantata-oratorio singer. Her repertoire includes Mozart's and Verdi's Requiems, De Faix's Love Magic, Beethoven's Missa Solemnis, Pergolesi's Stabat Mater, Rossini and Dvorak, and her chamber song repertoire is enriched by a cycle of Greek songs, song cycles by Mahler and many other songs by European composers.

Andreana Nikolova participated in the premiere recording of Requiem by Emil Tabakov with the Symphony Orchestra and the BNR Mixed Choir under the composer's conducting. She has recorded Rachmaninov's opera Aleko for the Naxos recording company and has made numerous recordings for the Bulgarian National Radio's collection.

Andreana Nikolova is a teacher of classical singing at the National School of Arts "Prof. Veselin Stoyanov" in Ruse.
