Mihail Mihailov was born in 1987 in Veliko Tarnovo. He started learning to sing at 16, and before that he played the violin. He graduated from the National Music Academy "Prof. Pancho Vladigerov" in 2011 in the class of Prof. Ivanka Ninova. He participated in the master classes of Hristina Angelakova and Anna Tomova-Sintova. He made his opera debut while still a student, aged 22, with the role of Count Almaviva from the "Il Barbiere di Siviglia". Little after his graduation, he began to gain stage experience with roles from the lyric repertoire such as Nemorino in "Love Elixir", Beppe in "Rita", Edward in " La Cambiale di Matrimonio", Ernesto in "Don Pasquale", Fenton in "Falstaff", Atsis in "Acis and Galatea", Bastien in "Bastien and Bastienne", Camus in "The Merry Widow"(Die Lustige Witwe) and others. Fluent in his performance in the lyrical-spint repertoire and is currently a sought-after soloist in such roles as Alfred in "La Traviata", the Duke in "Rigoletto", Rodolfo in "Bohemia", Pinkerton in "Madame Butterfly", Lensky in "Eugene Onegin", Edgardo in "Lucia di Lammermoor", etc. In 2013 Mihailov participated in a Verdi/Puccini gala concert with the Munich Symphony Orchestra and made his UK debut with Verdi's Requiem with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. In 2014 and 2015 he performed at the Herrenchiemsee Festspiele (as Bacchus in "Ariadne of Naxos" and Edmondo in "Manon Lescaut") and "Klassik am See", Erlangen (Alfredo in "La Traviata" and the Duke in "Rigoletto"). After reaching the final stages in the competitions "Operalia" 2017 and "Concours musical international de Montréal" 2018, Mihailov affirmed his international respect and performed on a number of prestigious stages such as Teatro del Giglio, Italy; Auditorio Nacional de Música, Madrid and Palau de la Música Catalana, Barcelona, ​​Spain; Osaka Festival Hall, Japan; Moscow Kremlin, National Opera in Bucharest; The Opera in Krakow, as well as at the festivals Laval Opéra Festival (France), Opernspiele Munot (Switzerland), Bartók Plusz Operafesztivál (Hungary), Jan Kiepura Festival (Poland). In addition to opera titles, Mihail Mihailov is a preferred soloist for vocal-symphonic works, and at this moment he has in his repertoire 20 of the largest and brightest examples in the genre: "Requiem" - Verdi, "Requiem" and "Stabat Mater" - Dvořák, "Missa Solemnis" and Ninth Symphony - Beethoven, "Messa di Gloria" - Puccini, "Stabat Mater" - Rossini, as well as other works by Haydn, Mozart, Mendelssohn, Schubert, Saint-Saëns and Scriabin. He has been a guest in several symphony orchestras in Bulgaria, Romania, Kosovo, Poland, Germany, and Great Britain. Mihailov maintains a considerable song repertoire, with which he won the Grand Prix at the XIX International Competition "Romansiada" (Moscow, 2015), the Second Prize at the IV International Competition for Song Duets, dedicated to the work of Richard Strauss (Sofia, 2015) and the First Prize at International chamber singing competition "Pancho Vladigerov" (Shumen, 2018). In the last two seasons he guests starred at the Poznań Opera as Alfredo in "La Traviata", shortly after that he made his debut as Pinkerton in "Madame Butterfly" at the Opera in Rijeka, Croatia. In November 2019, he partnered with Sonia Yoncheva in her "Puccini Gala" at the "Bulgaria" Hall with the Sofia Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Nayden Todorov. A month later, he participated in the BNR production - the concert performance of the opera "Eugene Onegin", where the role of Tatiana is played by Krasimira Stoyanova. He guested at the State Opera-Plovdiv and the State Opera-Burgas as Rodolfo in "Bohemia", the Opera in Szczecin, Poland, and the Varna Opera as Nemorino in "Love Elixir". He sang the tenor solo in Verdi's "Requiem" with the Sofia Philharmonic, as well as in the opera houses in Bialystok and Poznan, Poland. At the Philharmonic in Katowice, he was a guest in Beethoven's "Missa Solemnis". Participated in the Sigulda Opera Festival, Latvia. Mihail Mihailov has recorded for the Bulgarian National Television, the Bulgarian National Radio, and TV1, and a studio recording of the opera "La Traviata" with the Sofia Philharmonic Orchestra.

Immediately after graduation, he began to gain stage experience with roles from the lyrical repertoire such as Nemorino in Elixir of Love, Beppe in Rita, Edward in "The Marriage Policy", Ernesto in "Don Pasquale", Fenton in "Falstaff", Acis in "Acis and Galatea", Bastien in "Bastien and Bastienne", Camille in "The Merry Widow", etc. He has smoothly made the transition to the lyric-spinto repertoire and is now a frequently preferred soloist in such roles as Alfred in La Traviata, Herzog in Rigoletto, Rodolfo in La Boheme, Pinkerton in Madame Butterfly, Lenski in Eugene Onegin, Edgardo in Lucia di Lammermoor, etc.
