Momchil Milanov was born in Ruse.
He is a graduate of the National School of Arts "Prof. Vesselin Stoyanov" - Ruse with a degree in Classical Singing in the class of the established Bulgarian vocal pedagogue Georgi Deliganev. He completed his master's degree in the National Academy of Music "Prof. Pancho Vladigerov ” with Prof. Ilka Popova. The bass Momchil Milanov is a scholarship holder of the "Gallery of Bulgarian Talents" for 2005, as well as of the CEE Musictheatre under the patronage of the State Opera - Vienna for 2006. The same period was especially beneficial for the development of the young singer - he is a laureate of several national and international competitions, including the Competition "Georgi Zlatev-Cherkin" - First Prize, "Svetoslav Obretenov" - First Prize, International Competition "Franz Schubert" (2007) - Second Prize and the Special Prize of the Bulgarian National Radio, award winner of the Grand Prize of the “Marin Goleminov” Competition (2008). Since 2006 Momchil Milanov is a soloist in State Opera - Ruse. The singer's repertoire is constantly enriched, following its brought and development and his establishments on the stages of both the Ruse Opera and other opera houses in the country. The singer finds his full creative expression in the central bass parts of operas by Mozart, Paisiello, Rossini, Donizetti, Bellini, Bizet, Puccini, Verdi, and many others. Momchil Milanov has great success also during his tours in numerous opera productions in Switzerland, France, Germany, Austria, Spain, Romania, and Greece. In the spring of 2018, the bass of the Ruse Opera Momchil Milanov successfully masters the central bass part of Dulcamara in the production of “L'elisir d'amore” of the Romanian National Opera in Bucharest. In the autumn of the same year, he played the same role in the new production of “L'elisir d'amore” at the State Opera - Ruse. During the opera season 2018 - 2019, Momchil Milanov participated in several other productions of the Ruse Opera - "Turandot", "Carmen", "Nabucco", "L'elisir d'amore", and "Don Carlos", in the second premiere he played the role of King Philip II. Momchil has many other performances in his career. Since the summer of 2018, Momchil Milanov has been the Vice Chairman of the Union of Bulgarian Musicians and Dancers - in the Department of Music and Performing Arts.
The bass Momchil Milanov is a scholarship holder of the Gallery of Bulgarian Talents in 2005 and of the CEE Musictheatre under the patronage of the Staatsoper-Vienna in 2006.
The same period was particularly fruitful for the development of the young singer - he became a laureate of several national and international competitions, including the Georgi Zlatev-Cherkin Competition - First Prize, Svetoslav Obretenov Competition - First Prize, the International Franz Schubert Competition (2007) - Second Prize and the BNR Special Prize; he also won the Grand Prize of the Marin Goleminov Competition (2008).
Since 2006 Momchil Milanov is a soloist of the State Opera-Ruse.
The singer's repertoire is constantly enriched, following his maturing development and his establishment on the stages of the Rousse Opera and other opera houses in the country. The singer finds his full creative expression in the central bass roles of operas by Mozart, Paisiello, Rossini, Donizetti, Bellini, Bizet, Puccini, Verdi and many others.
Momchil Milanov has also successfully performed during his tours in numerous opera productions in Switzerland, France, Germany, Austria, Spain, Romania and Greece.
In the spring of 2018, Rousse Opera bass Momchil Milanov successfully guest-starred in the central bass role of Dulcamara in the Romanian National Opera's production of Love Elixir in Bucharest. In the autumn of the same year he performed the same role in the new production of "Love Elixir" by the State Opera - Ruse. During the current opera season 2018 - 2019, Momchil Milanov took part in a number of other productions of the Ruse Opera - "Turandot", "Carmen", "Nabucco", "Elixir of Love", "Don Carlos", in the second premiere of which he performed the role of Philip II, and a number of others.
Since the summer of 2018 Momchil Milanov has been Vice-Chairman of the SBMTD - Music and Performing Arts.
