Stoyan Stoyandzhov was born in 1960 in the town of Bolyarovo.

He graduated from the National School of Music and Performing Arts "Christina Morfova" in Stara Zagora, Bulgaria. From the very beginning of his artistic path, the young bass has the opportunity to continue his musical and singing career during his compulsory regular military service in the Ensemble of Construction Troops. In 1985 Stoyan Stoyandzhov graduated from the National Academy of Music "Prof. Pancho Vladigerov” in the Classical Singing class of the famous Bulgarian opera artist and pedagogue Prof. Iliya Yosifov. The same year, after a successful competition, the young singer was appointed soloist of the State Opera - Ruse. Stoyan Stoyandzhov's repertoire is remarkable for its volume and exceptional genre diversity. It extends with numerous titles in the territories of classical and modern opera, operetta, and musical. The singer has an impressive list of titles from chamber and cantata-oratorio music. Among the most astonishing and favorite roles of the artist are: Figaro from "Le Nozze di Figaro", Dulcamara ("L'elisir d'amore"), Bartolo ("Il Barbiere di Siviglia"), Don Alfonso ("Cosi fan Tutte”), Papageno ("The Magic Flute"), Feribacci ("Die Csárdásfürstin"), Michelle ("Ball im Savoy"), Baron Zeta ("Die Lustige Witwe"), Doolittle ("My Fair Lady"). In his more than thirty years of dedicated service, Stoyan Stoyandzhov has performed in many other great and well-known titles in favor of Opera Art on the stage of Ruse Opera House. Stoyan Stoyandzhov has visited all the opera houses in the country and has toured many European opera stages in many European countries - Spain, Switzerland (Summer Open Air Festival in Solothurn), Italy, Netherlands, Germany, Greece, Cyprus, and others. Stoyan Stoyandzhov is one of the active participants in the educational initiatives of State Opera–Ruse.

Some of his most impressive and beloved roles include Figaro from The Marriage of Figaro, Dulcamara (Elixir of Love), Bartolo (The Barber of Seville), and Don Alfonso (Thus Do All Women), Papageno ('The Magic Flute'), Feribacci ('The Queen of Chardache'), Michel ('Ball in Savoy'), Baron Zeta ('The Merry Widow'), Doolittle ('My Fair Lady'). Stoyan Stoyandzhov has created many other titles in his over thirty years of dedicated service to the art of opera on the prestigious Ruse stage.

Stoyan Stoyanov has performed in all opera houses in the country, he has toured to many European opera houses in many European countries - Spain, Switzerland (Summer Open Air Festival in Solothurn), Italy, Holland, Germany, Greece, Cyprus and others.

Stoyan Stoyanov is one of the active participants in the educational initiatives of the Ruse Opera.
