"Mozart" – when dance touches genius

There is music that transcends the boundaries of time. There are geniuses whose world remains vast even centuries after them. And there is art that can turn that vastness into motion, image, and emotion.

On Thursday, October 29, at 7:00 PM in the "Opera" hall, the Ruse State Opera will present the premiere of the ballet performance "Mozart" – a meeting with the extraordinary spiritual world of the composer, where the divine and the human merge in unique harmony.

Inspired by the music of the great composer, choreographer and librettist Natalia Osipova creates an original stage interpretation that doesn’t tell a biography, but reveals the inner states of the Genius – inspiration, carefreeness, charm, and impulse. In the dance, all four elements come alive – Fire, Air, Water, and Earth – transformed into the images of muses who inspire and guide the creative spirit.

The visual world of the performance is created by the artist Denis Ivanov, the designer of the sets and costumes, which complement the striking meeting of music, sculpture, and stage imagination.

In the role of Mozart is the soloist of the Ruse Ballet - Viktor Santana. Giuseppe Sorrentino brings the character of Salieri to life – torn between ambition, dissatisfaction, and envy, while Tsvetelina Katrin Ivanova takes on the role of Constanze – the composer's beloved and wife.

"Mozart" is a stage journey into the essence of genius - its freedom, sensuality, and spiritual power. A performance where music turns into dance, and dance becomes a revelation about the person who has touched eternity.
